The YCO Global Solutions service requires a recent version of the JAVA runtime component. Typically, this component is already installed on your computer.
YCO Global Solutions takes every precaution to ensure the security and integrity of your files and data. During file transfer your files are passed through a state-of-the-art encryption algorithm provided by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) the most secure digital certificate on the market. Once your files are uploaded to our system (through browser or phone-in), they are stored on a RAID fault-tolerant drive based server which sits in a state-of-the-art data center. The YCO Global Solutions service infrastructure provides the HIPAA compliance for you by encrypting your file transfers and housing the files in a secure, HIPAA compliant data center.
YCO Global Solutions was developed and tested in Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) browser and, currently, that is the only browser that is supported. So, you will need IE, version 5.5 or higher. In the future, we may modify our service to work in other browsers.
Yes, in addition to our online file upload capabilities, we also provide an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) solution. Your authors can simply call the toll-free telephone number (which we'll provide when you sign up) and dictate right over the telephone. The resulting voice file will immediately be available for you to download online using your YCO Global Solutions account. We charge you, our clients, per minute, for the use of the phone-in dictation service.
Our files are stored for thirty days from receipt in a secure HIPAA compliant facility. Unless specifically requested we do not maintain archives beyond thirty days.

During the course of dictation you can press (#) twice to save the current dictation and return to the main menu. Then, simply press (1) to start a new dictation. During a call, every time a dictation is SAVED, a separate file is created. Refer to the phone-in instruction sheet for more details.
Because of the high rate of users mistakenly pressing the CANCEL option and deleting their dictation, this feature has been removed from the standard phone-in interface. This feature can be re-activated (at no charge) by sending a request to Support@ycoglobal.com stating your intention.
If you disconnect the phone call, the audio file is saved and available for you immediately in the work queue. There is no way to call back and "continue" that dictation, but the you can begin a new dictation stating "this is a continuation…".
The toll-free phone number is only available for the U.S.A. and Canada. A toll phone number can access the service worldwide, but you are responsible for all toll charges.
Most likely, you need to install the latest version of SUN java in your browser. To determine if your java version is out of date, click Java Test. If your java version must be updated, use the link at the bottom of that screen to automatically download/install the latest version of java from SUN Microsystem's web site.
Note:
when you first attempt to upload/download files, if you receive a Security Warning to trust the Persits Software Applet, click Always.
When the dictation is complete, the transcriptionist is automatically informed by the YCO Global Solutions System that a new transcription is available for download.
Some versions of AOL Explorer will not allow the user to upload or download files. The YCO Global Solutions service has been tested and developed for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher. Other browsers, including FireFox, may not function correctly.
