INITIATED procedures to control budgetary expenditures and improved financial accountability for teaching medical center department. Formalized external agreement with associate medical center to combine radiation therapy services, saving $300,000. Finalized radiology conversion to digital imaging, eliminating hard copy radiographs and file room, for a $1.2 million cost avoidance. Enabled funding of mandatory programs without loss of critical services.
